If you’ve ever searched for the best AI tool, you’ve probably noticed something frustrating. Almost every website recommends the same products, uses the same screenshots, and somehow every tool is “the best.”

After reading enough of those articles, I realized many of them felt like they were written without ever opening the software.

That’s exactly why I started BetterAp.

Why I Built BetterAp

I use AI tools almost every day for work. Some genuinely save hours every week. Others look amazing on the homepage but become frustrating after a few days of real use.

Over time I found myself testing more and more software—not because I wanted to review them, but because I needed tools that actually helped me get work done.

Friends and coworkers kept asking the same questions:

• Which AI tool is actually worth paying for?
• Is this better than ChatGPT?
• What’s the best alternative?
• Which one do you personally use?

I realized I was answering the same questions repeatedly, so I decided to put everything in one place.

I’m not trying to convince you that every new AI tool is revolutionary.

How I Write

Whenever I publish something, I try to answer the questions I’d ask myself before choosing a tool.

Is it easy to use?

Is the pricing fair?

Does it actually make work easier?

Who is it best for?

And maybe most importantly—would I recommend it to a friend?

If the answer is no, I won’t pretend otherwise.
